Bro 2 Bro Community Support Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving youth and families throughout the Denver Metro area.
Through mentorship, wellness initiatives, essential resources, community outreach, outdoor experiences, and hands-on family support, we create meaningful opportunities for young people to feel supported, connected, encouraged, and equipped to thrive.
Our Story
Bro 2 Bro Community Support Foundation was founded by Karen Johnston and Jonathan Johnston in loving memory of Walter Edward Goodloe III.
Walter had a heart for children, family, fishing, friendship, and bringing people together. He had a way of making the people around him feel welcomed, valued, and included.
After his passing, that love became purpose.
Bro 2 Bro was created to carry Walter's spirit forward by showing up for young people and families in meaningful ways.
Every child encouraged, every family supported, every fishing line cast, every hygiene pack distributed, and every helping hand extended is part of continuing his legacy.

Our Mission
Our mission is to empower youth, strengthen families, and uplift communities through mentorship, meaningful experiences, essential resources, wellness initiatives, and hands-on support.
We work to create opportunities that help young people build confidence, develop positive relationships, learn practical life skills, and know they have a community standing behind them.

What We Do
Bro 2 Bro provides programs and outreach focused on youth development, family support, wellness, and community connection.
Youth Mentorship
We connect young people with positive adult relationships, guidance, encouragement, goal-setting opportunities, life-skills development, and meaningful experiences.
Hygiene & Wellness Support
We provide hygiene products and essential wellness resources to youth, schools, families, and members of the community who may have limited access to basic necessities.
Outdoor & Fishing Experiences
Through the Walter Goodloe III Annual Fishing Experience and other outdoor activities, youth have opportunities to learn new skills, build relationships, spend time outdoors, and create positive memories.
Family & Basic-Needs Assistance
We support families through school supplies, food assistance, seasonal programs, essential resources, moving assistance, and connections to community services when available.
Community Outreach
Our volunteers work alongside schools, businesses, organizations, and community members to organize donation drives, outreach initiatives, youth activities, and service projects.
Why Our Work Matters
Young people need more than programs.
They need people who consistently show up.
They need encouragement, guidance, opportunities, and environments where they can grow without feeling judged or overlooked.
Families also face moments when access to basic resources, additional support, or simply having someone willing to help can make a meaningful difference.

Walter's Legacy
Walter Edward Goodloe III continues to be at the heart of Bro 2 Bro.
His love of fishing, family, children, laughter, and bringing people together continues through every program, outreach effort, and relationship we build.
Bro 2 Bro allows his legacy to live not only through memory, but through action.
When we mentor a young person, help a family, serve our community, or create an experience a child will remember, we are carrying a piece of Walter's spirit forward.
His life inspired the mission.
